Updated package with patch from:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/278427

Hopefully will fix some compilation problems that have been reported.

This is on a works for me basis ...

To get the extra drivers the additional steps are required:

Install the alsa-source package

In a terminal, type: (require the module-assistant package)

$ sudo m-a a-i alsa-source

This will generate and install the kernel modules for your particular kernel.

Then reboot
